Set Your Phasers to "Stun"

Apparantly the US military is working on developing a directed energy weapon that can be used at a much longer range than a Taser, with none of the nasty side-effects like heart attacks and death that the Taser has been known to cause. Its temporary, and you only feel the effects while it is actually shooting you... no bitter aftertaste. Oh, and it makes your skin feel like its on fire. Nice, huh? Me Likee!
